Why check yourself in?
Check-In Droid is an Android application for scheduling automatic check-ins
via Gowalla, and Foursquare (Brightkite support is unavailable at this time due to problems with their API). Available on the Android Market.
Tips
Keep in mind: Foursquare goes down a lot, which we can't
do anything about. Tell Foursquare to get their act together.
Check-In Droid needs to be reopened whenever you restart your phone or if it
crashes for some reason (please, please use the Report button if it does crash.)
You don't need to do anything else for it to work in the background.
Do not use task killers.
Troubleshooting
First thing: Check-in problems can be caused by the time being incorrectly set on your phone. Ensure that your phone's time and timezone are correct. If your phone is set to automatic, try manually setting the time as sometime certain cell
towers will give invalid information.
If you're having trouble with a particular service (Gowalla, Foursquare, Brightkite)
try going to the accounts list (press Menu on the main screen) and long pressing
on the account and selecting delete, then press menu again and select
"Add a new account" to re-add the account.
If you're having trouble with a particular location/check-in (particularly on Foursquare)
try going to the locations list (press Menu on the main screen) and long pressing
on the location and selecting delete. Then re-add the location and check-in.
If you still need help, please use the "Send email to developer" function on the market.
